Recorded in 2021 and written during the pandemic times of 2020, Yayennings Vol. 2 brings a whole new energy to his sound he established in Scott Ave. Despite his punchy lines and chatty melodies, Jennings maintains a fluidity and ease throughout the entirety of the album.

Jay Jennings wrote Scott Ave. in 2017 after moving from New York City to Los Angeles. Inspired by the music of Chet Baker, Stan Getz, and and Gerry Mulligan, Jennings adds a modern twist to the 1950’s West Coast bebop sound with exciting new melodies, complex runs, and thoughtful, forward-thinking writing.
